Terms of Use
Last updated: September 4, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding legal agreement between you and conjor. Please read them before using conjor.
Sections 10 through 14 limit our liability, disclaim warranties, require you to indemnify us, permit us to terminate your account, and require most disputes to be resolved by individual binding arbitration rather than in court or by a jury. They affect your legal rights. Read them.
1. Agreement to these Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using conjor in any way, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use conjor.
If you use conjor on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and that organization.
2. Who you are contracting with
conjor is built and operated by an individual sole proprietor ("conjor", "we", "us", "our") based in the State of Alabama, United States. conjor is not a company, an agency, an employer, or a recruiter, and does not hold itself out as any of those.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use conjor. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use conjor only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You may not use conjor if you are barred from doing so under the laws of the United States or of your jurisdiction, or if we have previously terminated your account.
4. Your account
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate registration information and keeping it current
- Maintaining the security of your account and your sign-in provider
- Everything that happens under your account, whether or not you authorized it
- Notifying us promptly at sean@conjor.io of any unauthorized access
Do not share credentials, impersonate another person or organization, or create an account on behalf of someone without their permission. Account ownership disputes will be resolved at our discretion.
Your account slug is assigned automatically at signup and is permanent. Your display name — and, on the Pro plan, your card URL derived from it — is subject to availability and may be reclaimed by us if it infringes a trademark, impersonates someone, or is used abusively.
5. Your content
5.1 You own it
You retain all ownership rights in the text, images, video, links, posts, comments, opportunity listings, and other material you submit ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership of it.
5.2 conjor is a public publishing service
This is the central fact about the product. conjor exists to display Your Content publicly. Cards, posts, comments, opportunity listings, directory profiles, and the attributes you select for discovery are intended to be, and will be, publicly accessible — readable by anyone, indexable by search engines, and copyable by anyone who can view them.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You submit Your Content voluntarily and for the express purpose of publication
- Publication is the service you are asking us to perform
- Uploaded files are stored in a public-read bucket and are retrievable by URL even while a card is unpublished or a post is a draft
- Once content has been public, we cannot retrieve, delete, or control copies, caches, archives, screenshots, or scrapes made by third parties
- You are solely responsible for deciding what to publish about yourself. Do not submit anything you are not prepared to have permanently public
5.3 License you grant us
You grant conjor a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable (to our hosting, storage, and content-delivery providers) license to host, store, cache, reproduce, adapt for display, publish, and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating, promoting the availability of, and improving the service. This license exists so we can technically deliver your page; it ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in routine backups and for copies already distributed to the public.
You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights necessary to Your Content, and that Your Content does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.
5.4 Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use conjor to publish, transmit, or facilitate:
- Content that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, publicity, or privacy right
- Unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, or abusive material
- Sexually explicit material, or any content that sexualizes minors
- Impersonation of another person, organization, team, or brand
- Malware, phishing pages, deceptive links, or anything designed to compromise a visitor
- Spam, scams, pyramid or ponzi schemes, fake opportunity listings, or fraudulent solicitations
- Content that violates any applicable law or regulation, or promotes illegal activity
- Other people's personal information published without their consent
You also may not: scrape, crawl, or bulk-harvest the directory or user profiles; circumvent rate limits, storage quotas, plan limits, or paywalls; artificially inflate view counts, likes, connections, or ranking scores; reverse-engineer or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure; or use conjor to build a competing dataset or product.
We may remove content or restrict features at our discretion for violating this section, but we have no obligation to monitor, screen, review, or moderate content, and we do not endorse any user content.
In addition to these rules, conjor reserves the right to delete any content we deem unfit for our platform.
6. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on conjor infringes your copyright, send a notice to sean@conjor.io including: identification of the work, identification and URL of the infringing material, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act, and your signature.
We will respond to valid notices and may remove the material and terminate repeat infringers.
7. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- conjor offers a free plan and a paid Pro subscription. Plan features and limits — component counts, storage caps, tabs, custom subdomain, analytics, and watermark — are described in the app and may change.
- Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep Pro features until then.
- Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately, not at the end of the billing period, and the remainder of the paid term is forfeited. If you want the time you have already paid for, cancel through the billing portal instead and delete your account once the term has run out.
- All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods, unused time, downgrades, or periods during which you did not use the service.
- Downgrading from Pro to the free plan re-imposes free-plan limits. Content that exceeds those limits — for example, Pro-only components or draft-flipped posts — may become hidden, disabled, or unavailable. We do not delete your data on downgrade, but we do not guarantee its continued display.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, effective at your next renewal. Continuing after that means you accept the new price.
- Applicable taxes are your responsibility.
8. Advertising and the free plan
conjor serves no advertising. Not on public card pages, not in the card editor, not anywhere in the app, on any plan. We run no ad network and sell no ad space.
Free-plan cards carry a small conjor watermark instead. Removing it is a Pro feature.
We use analytics providers to measure aggregate usage — see our Privacy Policy § 3.4. Analytics is not advertising, and we share nothing with advertisers.
9. Service availability and changes
conjor is under active development by one person. We may add, change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service — including features, plan limits, component types, style variants, the directory, posts, opportunities, and templates — at any time and without notice or liability to you.
We do not promise any level of uptime, availability, response time, or support. Scheduled and unscheduled downtime will happen. We rely on third-party infrastructure (hosting, database, payments, cache, email) whose outages are outside our control.
Back up anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not a backup service and do not guarantee that Your Content will be preserved, recoverable, or exportable.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
CONJOR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE MAKE NO WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION THAT:
- The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components
- Any defect will be corrected
- Your Content will be preserved, stored without loss, backed up, or recoverable
- The service will meet your requirements, produce any particular result, or generate views, connections, clients, employment, or income
- Any information obtained through the service — including other users' profiles, opportunity listings, professions, or claimed credentials — is accurate, complete, current, or truthful
We do not verify users, employers, credentials, organizations, or opportunity listings. conjor is a publishing and discovery tool, not a background-check, escrow, vetting, employment, or recruiting service. Any interaction, negotiation, agreement, transaction, or relationship you enter into with another user is solely between you and that user, at your own risk. We are not a party to it and have no responsibility or liability for it.
Nothing on conjor constitutes legal, financial, tax, employment, or professional advice.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you. In that case, such warranties are limited to the minimum duration and scope permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
READ THIS SECTION. IT CAPS WHAT YOU CAN RECOVER FROM US.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
(a) No indirect damages. IN NO EVENT WILL CONJOR, ITS OPERATOR, OR ITS SUPPLIERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL, REPUTATION, DATA, OR CONTENT, OR FOR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE — WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, WARRANTY, STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER THEORY — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND EVEN IF A LIMITED REMEDY IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
(b) Total cap. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, IN THE AGGREGATE AND NOT PER CLAIM, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- The total amount you actually paid to conjor in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
- One hundred United States dollars (US $100.00).
If you use conjor on the free plan, you have paid us nothing, and our maximum liability to you is US $100.00.
(c) Third-party and user conduct. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR: the acts, omissions, content, or conduct of any user or third party; any transaction, agreement, employment, or dispute between you and another user; unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; the failure, outage, breach, or discontinuation of any third-party provider (including hosting, database, storage, payment, cache, analytics, or email providers); or the public exposure of content that you chose to publish.
(d) Basis of the bargain. You acknowledge that these limitations are an essential basis of the agreement between us, that we would not provide conjor — particularly at free or low cost — without them, and that they apply even if this Section is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
This section means that if someone sues us because of you, you pay for it.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless conjor, its operator, and its respective agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, investigations, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses — including reasonable attorneys' fees, expert fees, and court costs — arising out of or relating to:
- Your Content, including any claim that it infringes, misappropriates, defames, or otherwise violates the rights of a third party
- Your use or misuse of the service, including any use that violates these Terms or any applicable law
- Your violation of any right of another person or entity, including rights of privacy, publicity, or intellectual property
- Your interactions, dealings, agreements, transactions, or disputes with any other user or third party encountered through conjor
- Your breach of any representation or warranty you make in these Terms
We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate fully with our defense. You may not settle any such matter without our prior written consent. This obligation survives termination of your account and of these Terms.
13. Termination
13.1 By you
You may stop using conjor at any time. You may cancel a paid subscription through the Stripe billing portal, effective at the end of the current billing period.
You may also delete your account yourself, at any time, from Profile settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. You confirm by typing your display name. Deletion is immediate, permanent, and irreversible:
- Your card, posts, comments, likes, opportunity listings, connections, directory listing, saved themes, and uploaded files are deleted outright.
- Any active subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion, and prepaid fees are not refunded — see § 7.
- Billing and tax records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We cannot recover a deleted account, and we do not keep a copy for you. Export anything you want to keep before you delete.
13.2 By us
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account and your access to the service — in whole or in part, with or without notice, and at our sole discretion — for any reason or no reason, including if we believe that:
- You have violated these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or any applicable law
- Your content or conduct creates legal risk, security risk, or harm to us, to other users, or to third parties
- Your usage imposes disproportionate cost or load on the service or our providers
- Your payment has failed, been reversed, or been disputed
- We are discontinuing the service, a feature, or a plan
Where the circumstances reasonably permit, we will try to give notice and an opportunity to correct the problem — but we are not required to, and for serious violations we will not.
13.3 Effect of termination
On termination: your right to use the service ends immediately; your card, posts, opportunities, and directory listing may be unpublished or deleted; any prepaid fees are non-refundable (except where required by law); and we may delete your data after a reasonable period. Export anything you want to keep before you terminate.
Sections 5.3 (as to content already distributed), 5.4, 10, 11, 12, 13.3, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
14.1 Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the service are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by applicable United States federal law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
14.2 Informal resolution first
Before filing any claim, you agree to try to resolve it informally by emailing sean@conjor.io with a description of the dispute and the relief you seek. Both parties agree to negotiate in good faith for at least 30 days before starting arbitration. This step is a condition precedent to filing.
14.3 Binding individual arbitration
You and conjor each waive the right to a trial by jury and the right to participate in a class action.
Except for the carve-outs in § 14.5, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or the service — including its formation, interpretation, breach, termination, validity, or enforceability — will be resolved exclusively by final and binding individual arbitration, and not in court.
- The arbitration is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. §§ 1–16), which the parties agree applies to and evidences a transaction involving interstate commerce.
- Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, available at adr.org.
- The arbitration will take place in Alabama, or — at your election — by telephone, videoconference, or on written submissions only, so that you are not required to travel.
- A single arbitrator will decide the dispute, may award any relief a court could award on an individual basis only, and their award is final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.
- Each party bears its own attorneys' fees except where a statute or the arbitrator's award provides otherwise.
14.4 Class action waiver
ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY ONLY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim or request for relief, then that claim or request — and only that one — will be severed from arbitration and brought in the courts identified in § 14.6, while all remaining claims proceed in arbitration.
14.5 Carve-outs
Nothing in this Section prevents either party from:
- Bringing an individual claim in small claims court, if it qualifies and stays there
- Seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court to stop actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the service
- Filing a complaint with a government agency
14.6 Court venue for non-arbitrable matters
For any dispute not subject to arbitration, you and conjor consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the State of Alabama, and waive any objection to that venue on grounds of inconvenient forum.
14.7 Your right to opt out of arbitration
You may opt out of §§ 14.3 and 14.4 within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing sean@conjor.io with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and including your account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms, and we will not retaliate — your account is unaffected. If you opt out, disputes are resolved in the courts named in § 14.6.
15. Time limit on claims
Any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service must be filed within ONE (1) YEAR after the claim arose. Otherwise it is permanently barred. Where applicable law does not permit shortening the limitations period, this Section does not apply to you.
16. General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and conjor regarding the service, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed, and the remaining provisions stay in full force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. A waiver is effective only in writing.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign them freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- No agency. These Terms create no partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise, or agency relationship between you and conjor.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including provider outages, network failures, natural disasters, labor disputes, war, or government action.
- Notices. We may give notice by email to your account address, or by posting in the app. Notices to us go to sean@conjor.io.
- Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
- Export and sanctions. You represent that you are not located in, or a national of, a country subject to a U.S. embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. government restricted-party list.
- Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of conjor after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the service and close your account.
